John Papandriopoulos, known as “jpap”, is an Australian entrepreneur with nearly a decade of experience in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is currently Founder and CEO of Sergee, an early-stage startup based in San Francisco. Previously, John founded SnappyLabs (acquired late 2013, Apple) and then joined the Apple Camera Software team in Cupertino.
John earned his Ph.D from the University of Melbourne (2006) and is a celebrated Australian researcher. He received the Chancellor’s Prize for his dissertation on improving DSL broadband speeds, in 2007 was featured in The Age Melbourne Magazine’s Top 100, awarded Victorian Fellow in 2005 and the RMIT University medal for his undergraduate education in 2002.
He is co-inventor of four patents (USA, Australia), acquired by Ericsson AB.
